Specialist Asbestos & Hazardous Materials Consultants. Servicing Sydney & NSW
An asbestos clearance certificate is required anytime more than 10m2 of non-friable asbestos is removed or any amount of friable asbestos is removed. We understand this may be confusing if you’ve never dealt with asbestos, so please don’t hesitate to call us in our Sydney office today to understand your responsibilities.
The SafeWork NSW code of practice states that:
“To be independent, the licensed asbestos assessor or competent person must not be involved in the removal of asbestos for that specific job and is not involved in a business or undertaking involved in the removal of the asbestos for that specific job.”
Envirovision consultants located in Sydney are all independent licensed asbestos assessors, so you can have full confidence that our clearance certificates are independent and adhere to state regulation.
It’s important to note that no unauthorized persons are to enter the work area until an independent inspector such as an Envirovision consultant has gone through and cleared the area. Until the paperwork has been issued the area must be barricaded and signed as an asbestos work area.
Envirovision understands the pain of having a site shut for a prolonged period of time, that is why we provide asbestos clearance certificate paperwork on the SAME DAY (usually within an hour) at no extra cost to you. Our Sydney based consultants are here to ensure the asbestos has been removed and the certificate is issued immediately to get you back into the removal area asap.
Asbestos inspections are conducted prior the commencement of any renovation or demolition work. Our assessors will conduct a full audit of the premises and determine the presence, extent, and condition of any asbestos containing materials
